See why we’re the #1 DNA test
Just found that my genetic risk of diabetes is higher than 99.9% who share the same ancestry as me. This stuff is priceless.

Yasir A
Reassuring to see i have normal or below average risks for stuff like heart disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, several types of cancer, arthritis.

Erica W
Nucleus confirmed the knowledge I already have about my family history, but I also found out that I'm at elevated risk for coronary artery disease, insomnia, and multiple sclerosis.

Maxx Y
I discovered I was at a very high risk for a condition I’d never even heard of—Hereditary Hemochromatosis—which would ultimately change my life.

Ethan C
The test also picked up my rare genetic condition—this is an incredible test! It’s actually my fourth DNA test, and the only one that identified it.

Irina Swan
As the father of two girls (and son of a mom who had breast cancer), I'm grateful to know about my disease risks so we can plan better as a family.

Alexis O
The process couldn’t have been more straightforward. No blood draws…no Dr. visits…just a quick swab of my cheeks.

Jeffrey B
Nucleus highlights factors like age, BMI, or cholesterol that are likely to tilt the scales in certain cases. I now plan to have more regular eye exams because my risk for macular degeneration is more strongly correlated with age than I knew.

Michael Hendricks
Got my results yesterday. Pretty amazing insights, especially one in particular that I wasn’t even aware could be related to genomics and had a deep impact on my life: alcohol.

FAQs
How does Nucleus work?
add
Nucleus is a whole-genome DNA test that analyzes your DNA for millions of variants that impact you and your future kids' health — from cancers to heart disease.
Testing with Nucleus is easy. A simple at-home cheek swab is all it takes to collect your sample.
What will my results tell me?
add
Nucleus provides genetic screenings for 900+ diseases that you and your future kids could be at risk for. Your results include personalized insights about how your unique DNA combines with your lifestyle factors to influence your disease risks and trait dispositions.
How long does Nucleus take?
add
After you place your order, we'll mail you your Nucleus test kit. Kits typically arrive in 3-5 business days.
After you've collected your sample, you'll be able to send it to the lab using your pre-paid shipping envelope (included with your kit).
After your sample is received by the lab, your DNA will be securely sequenced and analyzed. This typically takes 4-6 weeks, and you'll receive an email as soon as your results are ready.
Note: Actual processing time may vary slightly from patient to patient. It is important to understand that an early result or a result taking longer does not necessarily indicate any problem with the sequencing quality or analysis. The quality and reliability of each Nucleus analysis remain consistent regardless of small differences in the delivery of the results.
Is Nucleus available internationally?
add
How is Nucleus different than 23andMe??
add
Most genetic tests look at only a tiny fraction of your DNA — less than 0.1%. This means critical health insights are missed.
That’s why Nucleus sequences your whole genome — all 6 billion letters — so you can mitigate more diseases, make healthier decisions, and live with confidence.
Does Nucleus accept HSA/FSA payments?
add
Yes, Nucleus is HSA/FSA eligible.
To participate, either:
1. Purchase Nucleus with your HSA/FSA card (recommended).
2. Use your invoice (emailed to you after purchase) to request reimbursement.
Nucleus does not provide a Tax ID number, medical diagnosis, diagnostic codes, or letters of medical necessity. Reimbursement is not guaranteed. Please contact your HSA/FSA provider in advance to confirm terms of reimbursement.
Is genetic counseling included?
add
Nucleus has partnered with SteadyMD to offer genetic counseling appointments directly in Nucleus. Each one-hour session costs $99 USD (not included with your membership).
How accurate is Nucleus?
add
Nucleus' whole-genome sequencing is more than 99.9% accurate. From research to testing, we go above and beyond industry standards to bring you safe and accurate results.
While your DNA doesn’t change (it’s yours for life!), your Nucleus results can. Genetic research is always improving, so we constantly update your health results to give you the most accurate read on your health.
Can I download my DNA?
add
Yes, you can download your DNA file anytime from your Account Settings page. You’ll have the option to download your whole-genome as a VCF or FASTQ file type.
